Billie Jean King Cup Team Selection

The Bhutan Tennis Federation is pleased to announce the selection trials for the national team to represent Bhutan in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup.

Registration Process:

Interested players are requested to register for the selection tournament by completing the Google Sheet form. All forms, along with the required documents mentioned in the form, must be submitted no later than Tuesday, 6th May at 12:00 PM.

Late submissions will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria:

To participate in the national team trials, players must:

1. Be a Bhutanese citizen.

2. Be in good standing with the BTF.

3. ⁠Meet anti-doping standards and be free from any violation

4. Be medically fit to play.

5. Have no criminal record.

6. Reside in Bhutan.

7. Obtain parental/legal guardian permission (for players over 14 and under 18 years).

8. Attend all briefing organized by the BTF.

Selection Process:

BTF will review all applications and only those who meet the eligibility requirements will be notified via email.

Please note that participation in the selection tournament is only one part of the overall selection criteria. The final team will be chosen based on additional eligibility parameters set by BTF.

Following the announcement of the eligible players, a mandatory orientation session will be held on 7th May at 4 PM @ BTF office. This session will cover:

• Additional selection criteria

• Tournament format

• BTF support

Failure to attend the orientation will result in disqualification.

Selection Tournament Dates:

The tournament will take place on

- 9th, 10th, and 11th May from 8:30AM at the National Tennis Center.
