Dasho Palden J. Dorji, the President of BTF was awarded Denmark's highest honor, the Order of the Dannebrog, from Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II on 28th April 2023.

The Order of the Dannebrog is a prestigious award given to individuals who have made significant contributions to Denmark in various fields, including culture, science, business, politics, and public service. It is one of Denmark's highest honors and is awarded by the reigning monarch, currently Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II. Furthermore, Dasho has represented Bhutan with utmost dignity and grace, showcasing the best of Bhutanese values and qualities to the world. His dedication, hard work, and contributions to Denmark have been exemplary, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

The award ceremony was graced by Her Highness Ashi Kesang Wangmo Wangchuck, Mr. Freddy Svane, Danish Ambassador to India presenting the Award on behalf of the Queen of Denmark, Ms. Katrin Kivi, Ambassador of Estonia to India, senior Bhutanese ministers, senior bureaucrats, and family members. Additionally, a few representatives from Dasho's various workplaces were in attendance.
